In the interest of democracy

Was just watching CNA a few moment ago and can't help but notice the great length's people will go to just to put their point across.

Think about it. 10's of thousands of people flock the streets in the hot sun to march in protest. Have they nothing better else to do? Or a better way of finding a solution to their problem? Let's say they do get their point across, someone resigns, red-shirts enjoy the satisfaction of their victory and two weeks later the yellow-shirt contingent begin a similar protest for their rights.

Democracy is to find a common ground, somewhere in between that both sides can agree on or compromise at the very least.
